we learned the characteristic of 3D PRINTER creality Ender 3, the limitations and advantages of the creality nder 3 and limitation Test the design rules for our 3D printer(s). Advantages and limitations of 3D printing

Advantages

No dust made by the machine so it can be allocated at an office. Low noise and fumes level in comparison to CNC routers, plasma, and laser CNC machines. Less material waste of additive manufacturing in comparison to sustractive manufacturing. Thanks to support material, you can print almost anything you can imagine.

Limitations

Very slow process High cost compared to other technologies less strenght in the printed parts in comparison to injection molding. Resin 3D printing Process

Individual assignment:

Design and 3D print an object (small, few cm3, limited by printer time) that could not be easily made subtractively 3D scan an object, try to prepare it for printing (and optionally print it).I designed the chain using solidworks

Download ultimaker cure for exporting the file wich can can readable by creality ender 3 link and install the software from link.It is for Download free Ultimaker Cura for macOS open file and add the file in STLformat

Adjust the standard quality of what you want as output and rotate all position to avoid many support during printing

3D Scanning is a process of analyzing an object from the real world, to collect all the datain order to recreate its shape and appearance digitally. The object can become a 3D model which could help you as a base for the 3D printing project. 3D scanning can be faster and easier techinique to create 3D models for 3D printing if you just want to receate an existing object. 3D scanning has many applications especially in medical sector like in dental sector for instance in creating dental devices like implants, braces, and dentures.

There are many 3D scanning techniques such as Laser 3D scanning:, Photogrametry, Structured light.

For scanning, I have scanned my classmate peter

From using the 3D printing technology, I found some advantage and disadvantage of this technology.

  • Affordable and easy to use
  • They are rapid to make prototyping
  • 3D printing disadvantage

Struggle to print small details Limited build size 3D scanning On 3D scanning I used the sense 3D scanner, I have scanned my labmate installing the sense 3D scan to my computer starting scan There two options and you have to choose one according to what you want to scan; on my case I have choosen Person, because I want to scan a person.
