Week1 - Principles and Practices

Individual Assignment

1# Plan and sketch potential ideas for the Final Project
2# Create a website showcasing About me page, and the Week1 assignment

Brainstorm

Idea 1 - Smart Glasses, maybe using computation power from a phone?
Idea 2 - Breadboards are hard, I wish there was a screen visualizing me the circuit

Research

Are the ideas even possible?

Smart Breadboard

smart breadboard

According to what I have gathered, my initial ideas has been tried or similar versions have been done.
They have created a breadboard with an adunio inside, my idea is a breadboard with a screen. This shows its duability.

I have also found people doing DIY smart glasses in a different way than I do. I am planing on giving the computation power to the phone by having an app.
However, their designs have a CPU which takes a big place on the side of the glasses.

Software used

I used Google Chrome to search my ideas. I used Visual Studio Code to make this website, finally I have used Gitlab to host this website.

Sketches

I have made some sketches of my two ideas

Smart Glass

week1 image

In this design I have used a 0.69 inch LCD display which is connected to a small CPU which is than connected to a Bluetooth receiver.
I anticipate that the smart glass will obtain it's data from the phone via an app, connecting using bluetooth.
Moreover, because the display is at the very end of the glasses, multiple lenses and mirrors will be used to project the image to the glass part of the glasses.

Smart Breadboard

week1 image 2

In this design I have created a breadboard with an LCD display beneath it.
Inside the breadboard will be a chip that reads which pins have been inputed and predicts the circuit created by the user.
Finally, the chip will visiualize this circuit and display it on the LCD
