What I did!
We had the disasterous idea to actually try to make a seltzer machine. Originally we had grand ambitions to actually carbonate and flavour our own water. However by the end we decided to just make a drinks dispensor. In the begininng stages of this project we thought it would be in everyones best interest, and the interest of actually completeing the project to split up into three different groups. One group worked on the skeletal backbone of the project, another group worked on the electronics portion, and a final group worked on the making the plumbing work.
I ended up being on the plumbing team. For the plumbing team I as an individual worked on several different things. I had the primary idea for how to actually make the system using the least number of pumps, which were our primary cost. I also designed the circuit boards that we used to control the different pumps and solonoids. I also did all of the work in wiring the system together. I unfortunately had to do this twice because I missed a meeting, and was given bad information as to how the mosfets, which we used to control the pumps, worked.
I also think that it is important to point out that I was apart of a group of a few other students who put in an all nighter to try to actually get this system to function as expected.
What other people did!
Now I wasn't there to see what everyone else did in this project, but wow it did seem like a fair bit. So what we did was create a group page so that you can go and see what a culmonation of everyones work! Click right HERE to go to the sight.
