Individual assignment

Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project Prepare drafts of your summary slide (presentation.png, 1920x1080) and video clip (presentation.mp4, 1080p HTML5, < ~minute, < ~10 MB) and put them in your root directory

Final Project Dissemination

Most of the details of the dissemination are on my final project process page and this week i will add to the final project page to have a short overview of the very long final project process.

My project i created specifically for myself and my own habits & needs, but if anybody wants to use it they are are very welcome to use my information.

Licensing

I am not so worried or even thinking to much about licensing, since i am making this for me and i am sure there are a million people out there that can do it better and commercially easier used, i will happily share all my designing files with any body that wants it. They will just have to be aware of the potential mistakes.

I will be sharing my final project, both the physical design and the code, under the Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International license where others are free to share, copy, adapt, and redistribute it. I really don’t mind people using my work from Fab.

In my own work as lightdesign there is always this vague line of copying or sharing ideas and it tends to get resolved by itself.. even if there would be a company that redesigns it and puts it on the market, i would be very happy to buy one for my friends :)

Video

As a plan for my video i would like to use it as a story:

  • date/time display - show the pill box of the day filled
  • panic on a face
  • same date/time display - show the new pill box
  • led on, hand takes a pill
  • same date/time display - show the new pill box
  • led on, tik tok, red led on, email
  • happy face

Slide

On the slide i will show the box with some pointers:

  • made on:

    • acryl plate - lasercutter
    • wooden bottom - shopbot
    • pcb - Roland iModela
    • boxes - Prusa printer
  • designed in:

    • acryl plate - cuttle
    • wooden bottom - Fushion, Vcarve
    • pcb - Kicad, Gimp
    • boxes - Fushion

and some pointers on the led and sensor with a short explanation.

LOGOLUZ - i was surprised how many people around me wanted to have this or a similar product, i truly believe there is a market for this.. but am i the one to fill this gap..? not sure. Maybe i should look into it during the regional meeting this summer and talk about options with people that understand the system.

LOGOREDO - if i would go though this process again all would be different because now i know the basics of electronics and will be able to search in the right direction.
