Social Innovation

Seoul Innovation Fab Lab is located within Seoul Innovation Park, and is joined by social innovators in various fields, including art, technology, culture and education.

This technology based social innovation lab is equipped with a large work environment and digital manufacturing equipment to enable various experiments and production of everyday life. We aim to be a community of makers that share technology and information to solve the problems we face in our region.

서울이노베이션팹랩(Seoul Innovation FabLab)은 서울혁신파크 제작동 1층에 위치해 있으며 예술, 기술, 문화, 교육 등 다양한 분야의 사회혁신가들 및 국내외 메이커들과 함께 하고 있습니다. 약 150평 규모의 넓은 작업환경과 3D 프린터, 레이저가공기, CNC 등 디지털제작장비 뿐만 아니라 선반, 밀링, 용접기까지 갖추어 일상생활의 다양한 실험과 제작이 가능한 기술기반 사회혁신 실험실입니다. 기술과 정보를 공유하고 지역과 생활에서 겪는 문제를 해결하는 메이커 커뮤니티를 지향합니다. 개소와 동시에 세계 팹랩 네트워크인 Fab Foundation에 등록되었으며, 세계적인 메이커 네트워크에 참여하여 교육과 프로젝트를 교류하고 있습니다.

Fab City ‘Save My Seoul’

​서울이노베이션팹랩은 지역사회에서 발생하는 여러 사회문제를 기술실험과 시민참여를 통해 해결하고 있습니다. 올해부터는 전 세계 18개 도시와 함께 도시의 지속가능성을 높이는 팹시티 실험에 참여합니다. 자원소비와 탄소배출을 줄여 도시 파괴를 멈추고, 생산적인 도시를 만들 수 있는 아이디어와 기술을 모집합니다.

Seoul Innovation Lab addresses various social problems in the local community through technical experiments and citizen participation. In 2018 Seoul joined the Fab City experiment, which will enhance the sustainability of cities, along with other cities all around the world. We’re looking for ideas and technologies to stop urban destruction by reducing resource consumption and carbon emissions, and to create productive cities.

Innovation Project

사회혁신 프로젝트메이커들의 사회공헌 및 사회혁신 활동을 지원하고 있습니다. 사회문제 해결을 위한 제작 프로젝트에 선정된 팀들에게 재료비 일부와 팹랩의 다양한 혜택을 지원합니다. 세부내용은 이메일 문의를 받습니다. 개인의 창의력과 기술을 통해 사회문제해결에 기여하고자 하는 많은 메이커들의 참여를 기다립니다.

We support social contribution and social innovation activities by hosting innovation project makers. The teams selected for this program aim solve social problems. They are supported with part of the material cost and various benefits of the fab lab. We welcome the participation of many makers who wish to contribute to solving social problems through creativity and skills.
