Hi, everyone. This is Jin Cui from the Shanghai Fablab. I’m from China. I grow up in Beijing, and continued to study law at a local college. This year, I will be 29 years old after birthday. I knew about the program from its founder’s newly written and translated book, Designing into Reality. I’m interested in almost everything, but especially fond of reading books^ So I went to the book store every week, and checked out if there were new books coming out. I think the program will enhance me with more tools and depth, so that I can really interact with the environment around me.
And also, I am a anti-reductionist in theory. I believe in a flourishing society where every one can pursue their own habits and interests in harmony with other people’s life, and every person’s life shouldn’t be harmed by someone’s excession of his own pursuit. So an interesting question is: what it’s like to live in a society of that kind. Currently, one of my important works is editing John Rawls’ a theory of Justice. Even though it is a very passionate book, it’s also very hard to read, and hence impairs its power and attraction. I want to make it more simple, so that more people can understand its meaning and moved by it, especially with its own words......
