Short Bio about me:

My name is Babasile Daniel Oladele-Emmanuel. I am a PhD candidate at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg, where I also work as one of the managers of the FabLab facility on Campus (OpenLab Hamburg). As well as a lecturer of Quality and Knowledge Management.

Out of sheer patriotism, I started the first FabLab in Nigeria (GreenLab Microfactory), which was launched in 2017. Eventhough this, in terms of technological capabilities, cannot be in anyways compared to the giant FabLabs located around the globe. However, I and my team in Nigeria are doing our best to fill a void that should have long been filled. One of the key lessons we have learnt is the 'Art of not giving up'.

I firmly live by one of my quotes 'Lack of resources shouldn't be the excuse for lack of resourcefulness'.

If Nigeria was a moon, then I would be the Neil Armstrong who first flew the FabLab flag on an unknown territory. Hence, the reason I am the President of the Federal Rebublic of Nerdgeria.

In my golden spare time, if I am not doing something silly, then I like to disturb my wife (smiles). On a serious note, I like to read motivational books, watch documentaries, or simply engage on a project towards intellectual, sustainable and social growth.

Why I joined Fab Academy.

My major reason for participating in Fab Academy 2020 is because I would like to know 'How to Make Almost Everyone Happy' without taking them to Holland.
