FabAcademy 2020

Introduction

EAGLE is electronic design automation (EDA) software. It enables printed circuit designers to seamlessly connect schematic diagrams, component placement, printed circuit routing, and full library content.

For me who have no experience, EAGLE is a more intuitive way to design PCB easily, the program includes a schematic editor, a PCB design editor and a complete content of PCB library.

GROUP ASSIGNMENT

I have no experience in making electronic designs, so making the group was very important for me.

In this sense, we started by redrawing our PCB with which we had previously worked at EAGLE with the intention of familiarizing ourselves with the program, experimenting with different layouts and solving possible encounters.

Individual Assignment

The assignement of this week consists of electronic designs, the challenge is to redesign our board design which means knowing the whole process to be able to carry out this modification or redesign, including the outline of the scheme we want to do, milling of the PCB, soldering and and later programming.

Personally I have no experience in electronic designs, so I had a fairly intense week, with many questions (trial and error) and a lot of information, although I think it was worth it in the end.

Having defined what I wanted to do, and after getting acquainted with Eagel, the first step in developing this assignement was to design schematics and files using Eagle. The challenge was also to include a minimum of a button and LED in the design.

Final design

Configuration tests for final milling

Because the MODELA base is not flat, send the file to be milled several times

Final PCB !!!

Components

Soldering the components

Final PCB whit all components
