My Final Project Exposition
What will it do?
My idea of the final project is that of building a leaf remover machine : I've also spoken about it in the first week where I have already planned a sketch of my project: in this machine I am going to put the olives from the top of the machine and It brings out the olives without the leaves. Then a display will show us the information of the machine(for examples: the power of the fan etc etc...)
Who's done what beforehand?
This machine is already producted because it is a commercial product.. there are also some not professional production visibile in the web but I hope to do something better than them.
What will you design?
For my project I have to design the structure of the machine and I have to design the fan that I am going to print with the 3d printing:
- design of strucutre: I have already done a sketch design in the week computer aided design but maybe I am going to do a new design with more details
- design of the fan: because of the machine have to have a fan to remove the leaf I have already done a design of my fan (with smaller dimension) in the week of 3D scanning and printing.This is only a prototype but whereas I have done a parametric a design the dimension are not a problem. I have to decide if there will must be a modification in order to use it for the final project or if I have to change ony the dimension

What parts and systems will be made?
- Software: I'll write the code which controll the power of the motor dc with some sensore
- Hardware: I'll print the fan of my machine
- Interface: I am going to interface the controll of the machine with a bloethoot connection
What processes will be used?
- 3D printing: to build the fan and other parts
- CNC milling: for the electronic production and the grid
- Laser cutting: the the box of my display and toher parts
What tasks need to be completed?
- Design the structure of the machine and assembly it with the software : on shape
- Build all the pat designed with the corresponded
- fix this part and the subparts
- testing the electronic and linked it in the structure of the machine
- testing the interface to control the states of the machine
- final tuning
What questions need to be answered?
- Do I manage to interface the many connection of the system?
- will the system be able to remove the leaves?
- Will the olives come out the system?
- will the sensor work well?
- Will the battery be able to power the system?
What is the schedule?
- complete the 3D design and assembly it
- electronics and software
- Create the interface
- test the final project and correct the possible errors
How will it be evaluated?
I hope I will be able to make every part of my project and communication during the week and take more time to finish the design and assembly the parts of the machine in order to test it in the last weeks.
My second idea of final project
What will it do?
I have had an other idea about my final project : I want to make an intelligent lamp; It consist of a cube made by 8x8x8 leds which blinked representing different weather conditions. In fact,I want to connect the lamp with a meteo site in order to take the meteo information whenever I want.
Who's done what beforehand?
There are many example of the building in the web which blink in different shape but they haven't the connection so they don't gave information about something(they only blink).
What will you design?
For my project I may design the base of the cube milling the holes ,where I am going to put the led, with the milling machine

What parts and systems will be made?
- Software: I'll write the code which controll the shape of the blinking of the led and connect the system with the meteo information in the web
- Hardware: I am going to do the cubic structure of the led and a base structure where I am going to put the electronic connection and where a put a lcd display which showes us the temperature(indoor)
- Interface: I am going to interface the controll the status of the machine (switch on or off).

What tasks need to be completed?
- Design the structure of the base of the cube : on shape
- do the cube of the led and testing if every led works
- do every programm to the blink the cube
- do every connection and put the input/output device
- final tuning if everything works
What questions need to be answered?
- I will be able to organize every electonic connection in order to have a simple vision of the electric scheme
- if a led doesn't work will it be harder change it?
- will the cubic structure be strong?
What is the schedule?
- complete the 3D design

- Create the interface and web conection
- test the final project and correct the possible errors
How will it be evaluated?
I hope to do the strucure during the last weeks and take more time to the networking and the debugging of my eventual errors.
