Questions

what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?

My final result is far away from what was my original idea, but I'm still satisfied. I completed the final project on a more superficial basis of the project. I would like to be able to modify and improve it in terms of automation.

what has worked? what hasn't?

In the design of the first box the movable bottom had to allow only the eggs to fall but I made a mistake putting the net (I put it under the movable bottom instead of above) and everything that is inside the box moves when you move the bottom. Moreover towards the end of the project unfortunately the sensor broke. Worms-slip is pretty straightforward but sometimes someone runs off, so a possible implementation could be to change the boxes, maybe make them small at the top and gradually getting bigger to allow a "fall" without a hitch. Another change is surely that of decreasing the diameter of the funnel and enlarging the recess dimple of the last dome so as to properly collect the worms and the pupae. Finally during the presentation of the final project Neil pointed out to me that the electronic components were not fixed and that they would break off.

what questions need to be resolved?

I wonder if it can be stable and how to make the last drawer so that it can be taken off to get the worms without having to put your hand between the two levels. I also wonder if this is the ideal size for the device or maybe make it bigger would be ideal.

what will happen when?

These days I'm working on the realization of the board supports in the box behind the device and on how to fix the bluetooth module. Furthermore since the initial project was very ambitious I would like to work on it gradually in the future as I am currently preparing the thesis for my degree

what have you learned?

During this project I learned how to use a bluetooth module, how to organize ideas (more or less) and I also engraved my drawing for the first time
