Week 14: Mechanical and Machine design

Assignment

On this work we worked in group and we divided work depending on where everyone felt confident.

The group members were:

• Me

• Ariane

• Raymond

• Pamella

• Heritier

Our mission was to make a Laser cutter machine for this week.

We divided the work among ourselves and we went like this:

• Raymond was going to work on electronics design and programming.

• Pamella and Heritier were going to cut parts of the machine we will need.

• Me and Ariane we were going to do assembly of parts.

I worked on assemblying the machine parts we had cutted on the shopbot.

We installed bolts and bearing which will allow the machine to move in different axises.

We had first to allign the bolts to make the mechanism more efficient.

After installing bearings we tested if it will move smoothly.

I would like to continue this project and make a product I would sell on the local market, since for the time I started working with CNC I have seen how it can benefit many people.
