this week we needed to come up with the machine we want to make in machine design week. our main purpose was to realy join forces as all of us come from different background and make something that will give us all oportunity to learn outside our respective fields. We suggested multiple ideas one of them is 3d clay machine but due to time required to procure everything we decided to go with something simpler. we suggested to work on 2d machine and thought about different applications. we settled on a plotter with a uniqe head that allow us to attche different things on it in future.
the team discussed what should the design criterias be. we discussed the posiblity of making it big enough to be used for displaying custmize messages outside the fablab. we thought about making it portable. but eventually we decided to work around the parts we have in the lab and make them as constrin to us in size, time and ambition.
we distrebuted the tasks amoung our selves to our best capabilities. - The machine and head mechanism was the mechanical team responsibility (Luay, Feras, Ahmed and Ali) - The electronics and actuation part was the electrical team responsibility (Rania and Einas) - The casing, packaging and documentation was (Reeman and Zahir) responsibility.
