There are several ideas I am interested in exploring. One is an installation project that involves a) a/several body movement sensors - how a person would trigger the movement of a projected animation/an object as he/she/they move across the room. For example, a projected video (content to be specified throughout the next few months) following the movement of a person. b)a light intensity detector outdoor that would send a signal back to a curtain to open/close.
I will need to attach the curtain/jalousie to a motion detector circuit. (I referred to this project), which include: PIR Motion detector (thermal camera with 8-pixel resolution)/TPA 81 (can measure the temperature of 8 adjacent points simultaneously), Arduino board, power (what kind of battery?).
How should I attach the motion detector circuit? If it is a curtain, how is it placed on the curtain bar? How are the wires attached to the curtain rings? If it is a jalousie, how is it placed in the slot? How are the wires attached to each shutter?
After learning about making PCB boards, I found out that PCB boards can be made into different shapes and sizes. In Eagle, I can make a drawing by arranging my traces in different ways. I immediately become interested in the possibilities of combining PCB boards with other materials, for example, textile. Another project currently in mind is embedding LED into fabric, and control the LED by a motion detector/Arduino circuit.
