Exercise 20. Project Development

Now, it is time to complete my final project!

To make this, I have to take in account which requirements are asked:

_ made your slide: 1920 x 1080 pixels with your name, project name, Fab Lab name,
a photo/render/sketch of your project, a brief description of what your project is/does
_ made a ~1 minute (10MB/1080p/720p) video of you explaining your project
_ made a separate Final Project page that briefly summarises your project and
_ included the BOM (Bill of Materials) for your project
_ linked from this page to any weeks that you worked on your final project
	_ linked to your presentation.png and presentation.mp4
_ included all of your original design files in the archive (2D & 3D, board files & code)
No external hosting of final project files - discuss file sizes with your instructor
_ included the licence you chose
_ acknowledged work done by others

Questions I have to answer now are:

			_ what is the deadline?
_ how much time do I have left?
_ what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?
_ how will I complete the remaining tasks in time?
			_ what has worked?
			_ what hasn't?
_ what questions still need to be resolved?
			_ what have you learned?

Learning outcomes for this week:

		_ Evaluate project plan
		_ Apply time management techniques
_ Summarise and communicate the essence of a project

DEADLINE:

I have dated my final project on 15th JUNE.

REMAINING DAYS SCHEDULE:

Regarding schedule I have planned on exercise 18, I can actualize it to:

_ Finish Main PCB scheme, design and mill it. >> DONE
_ Solder all electronic components needed for make it functional. >> DONE
		_ Finish weekly assignments. >> JUNE 7TH
_ Finish program code and program Main PCB. >> JUNE 7TH
_ Make the Web Interface and test if everything is well connected (product<>program<>interface). >> JUNE 7TH
_ Water system design and fabrication. >> JUNE 8TH
_ Box design and fabrication. >> JUNE 8TH
_ Mount and test everything toghether. >> JUNE 11TH
_ Document it: BOM, pictures, prepare and share all necessary files, main slide, video, etc. >> JUNE 14TH
_ Present my final project. >> JUNE 15TH

DETAILED PLANNING:

I have been planning project phases among time in a Gantt diagram in Final project area in my webpage.

The process I have follow has been: IDEA > CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT > DEFINE > IDEATE > PROTOTYPE > TEST > IMPLEMENT > MEMORIES AND FUTURE PLANS.

I have simplified it for an easier and lighter understanding in:

1_IDEA AND CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

2_FINAL PROJECT PROGRESS

3_FINAL PROJECT PRESENTATION AND DOCUMENTATION

From today till presentation day I have to continue with the schedule I have mentioned in the point before.

SUCCESSES AND FAILURES UNTIL THE DATE OF TODAY:

You can find my progress, with all successes and failures in FINAL PROJECT PROGRESS page.

LEARNINGS:

From all modules we have combined, particular techniques on each one, and each one in a week, week by week, I have developed a lot my technical skills in digital manufacturing, but also on a personal level. It has been very hard to work and study, all toghether. Planification is needed, mandatory! I have a little envy of those students who have taken time to dedicate themselves exclusively to the FabAcademy. :P

I am Industrial Design Engineer, very close to the mechanics engineers, and everything that can be proven why it is in sight. When I make something, results are always visible, and I can test them real.

This is why the most difficult thing for me, and the most unknown, have been electronics and programming. For me these two aspects have always been a bit like magic.

But having a very good team, as I have Javi and Szilard, has been essential for me. We have worked side by side, and we have learned all of all, which is the most beautiful and important. Thanks to you two! ;)
