Propose a final project that integrates the range of units covered.What will it do?
It is an electronically controlled automata. It will run when it is approached by the ultrasonic sensor. It will give the audience a feeling that the work is fleshy. It will also change the color of the flowers according to the audience's choice and provide them with pleasure.Who's done what beforehand?
The motivated original work is created by BongSeong Kwon. It is a lovely piece of work which lovers under cherry tree while 55 cherry blossoms scattering.What materials and components will be required?

How much will it cost?
All of materials come from Seoul Fab Lab. What parts and systems will be made?
I will add electronic devices to this work. The cherry blossoms shine and provide a colorful experience through the touch sensor. The audience will provide an interactive experience. The ultrasonic sensor is also designed to operate the motor when approaching the audience.What processes will be used?
-First of all, I have to make a copy of the automata moving by the gear mechanism. This alone can be a challenge for me.
-Then connect the lighting circuit to each cherry blossom. And make it run without electrical problems when turning the gear.
-Finally, we will add two electronic systems. One is an Neopixel and touchsensor which the color of flowers is changed, and the other is a system that activates a DC motor when accessing the audience.
In the original work, 55 cherry blossoms were used, but my work was limited to 11 cherry blossoms and 12 gears. This is to reduce the problems between electronic system and automata mechanisms.
What tasks need to be completed?
- Design of automata mechanism: cnc, lasercutter, 3D printing- Cerry blossoms: molding and casting
- Neo-pixel and touch sensor system design: PCB making, coding
- Ultrasonic sensor and motor system design: PCB making, coding
- Overall design: finishing
- Support box design :cnc
-I tested arduino, DC motor activated system with HC-SR04 sensor.
What questions need to be answered?
-Controlling 11 lights with touch sensor.-How to install the wires which did not tangle when the automata are actuated.
-Connecting the 2 board, DC motor with HC-SR04 and the neopixel with touch sensor.
What is the schedule?
-from June 1 to 6 : mechnic design, electornic test with arduino-from June 7 to 12 : electronic design, PCB fabricating, assembley
-from June 13 to 16 : debugging, finishing
How will it be evaluated?
It is great that two people who do not know each other exchange their feelings through one piece of work. It is a success while the color of the flower changes according to the choice of the audience and the automata works well.up previous next
