Week summary

This week I was working on:

• duplicating a real object with a scanned 3D model
• building an a physical object with 3D printer

Diary - Thoughts and experiences

The usual work continues to press on me, so activity in the fab lab is still reduced. This week I'm using my previous work to broaden knowledge in those technologies needed to copy real world objects.

As soon as the 3D-scanner in our lab is not working this time I refer to using photos and special 3D software to make a copy of an object close to the original. This technology is useful also if the scanner is not able to achieve good quality of the resulting model for some reason (maybe the size, or form of the object are not suitable for scanner arganization).
