PLANNING THE FINAL PROJECT

Part of the mechanical design week was to create an illustration of how my final project would work mechanically.

I have created a simple diagram using rhino of how the structural design would work. What isnt in thiw picture is most of the electronics, which I have yet to find the sizing and shape for. I will make an effort to update the diagram with more information in the future.

The front and back of the guitar will be held with screws into the resin soaked synthetic felt, and the neck will be bolted on to the neck block.

The two long braces will be glued onto the front of the guitar and will just sit into the bridge block. In this way there should be no alignment issues.

One other thing that might be needed is a tail block, something to hold the tailpeice of the guitar to, and provide further alignment with the braces.
