About the Instructor
Roberto Fernando Gallo Ricaurte is the founder and director of ZOI FabLab and an experienced instructor of the Fab Academy program, actively involved in digital fabrication education since 2016.
His work focuses on the integration of digital fabrication, product development, robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence applied to real-world manufacturing and innovation ecosystems.
Roberto has coordinated and instructed Fab Academy programs in Ecuador in collaboration with universities, Fab Labs, and the global Fab Foundation network, mentoring students in areas such as:
- Digital fabrication and rapid prototyping
- Electronics and embedded systems
- CNC machining and robotic manufacturing
- Product design and development
- Automation and AI-assisted workflows
Through ZOI, he promotes hands-on learning, open knowledge, and the development of locally relevant technological solutions aligned with global standards.
