About Me

My name is Abdi Kamaluly, and I am a student deeply passionate about technology, engineering, and innovation. I am still in school and will graduate in 2027. From an early age, I became interested in how things work, especially in electronics and machines. This curiosity gradually turned into a strong motivation to learn, build, and create my own projects.
I enjoy exploring new tools and experimenting with both software and hardware, as every small experiment teaches me something new about engineering.

Skills and Experience

Over the years, I have been developing my skills in:

  • Programming
  • Electronics
  • Digital fabrication

I have experience working with microcontrollers such as ESP32, designing and manufacturing PCBs, and building small smart systems. I enjoy solving real-world problems through engineering and continuously improving my technical abilities.
I also like documenting my projects step by step, as it helps me track progress and share knowledge with others.

I have also actively participated in robotics and technical competitions, including national-level competitions such as FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge). These experiences helped me gain practical knowledge, teamwork skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Currently, I am continuing to develop my project, and soon I will participate in the international stage of the competition, which is a big step in my journey.
Participating in competitions taught me the value of creativity under constraints and the importance of iterative design.

Goals at Fab Academy 2026

Through Fab Academy 2026, I aim to strengthen my understanding of digital fabrication processes, from design to production. I want to improve my skills in:

  • 3D design
  • Electronics production
  • Embedded programming
  • Machine operation

My goal is to turn ideas into real, functional prototypes and develop solutions that can be applied in real life.
I am particularly excited about learning more advanced techniques in laser cutting, CNC milling, and integrating sensors into interactive projects.

Future Plans

In the future, I plan to become an engineer and build my own auto center focused on car tuning and detailing. I want to grow this business into a large network across Kazakhstan. I believe that the knowledge and experience gained in Fab Academy will play a key role in achieving these goals.
I hope to also mentor younger students and share my experience in robotics and fabrication, helping them grow their own skills.

Personal Motivation

I am motivated, disciplined, and always ready to learn new things. For me, engineering is not just a field of study — it is a way to create, improve, and make an impact.
I see every challenge as an opportunity to learn and innovate, and I aim to combine creativity with practical skills to make projects that are both functional and inspiring.
