Who am I ?
Hello, I'm an electrical engineer, currently working at ecole polytechnique de Bruxelles (EPB).
I've started my carrer in power electronics projects. I redirected it towards embedded electronics and teaching when I became a teaching assistant at EPB.
I'm now part of the EPB's technical staff.
My main activities are giving support to researchers from various fields and engineering students for their projects
Our students often use rapid prototyping in their projects and I join the Fab Academy to improve my skills in that domain.
One of my previous projects
The Vital Signs project is a Proof of Concept of a remote monitoring of basic vital signs of a patient: body temperature, oxygen saturation and heart rate.
The device is wearable and connects to the cellular network to send its data to a database server.
This device was developed during the COVID confinement.
It's first goal was to allow convalescent patients (that only need monitoring) to return home. It reduces stress on hospitals during crisis.

I was responsible for the electronics, sensors and embedded programming.
This project is another reason that lead me to the Fabacademy.
I was interested and impressed by the work of my colleagues involved in this project: mechanical design, communication and database management.
