Design package guide
CAD prototype, drawing area 200 × 150 mm. No fabrication or accuracy test is claimed.
Our drive uses 0.5 mm cord and printed capstans. The CNC plywood base and bed support printed rails, carriages and the pen lift. Use the complete print list for all 66 required pieces; all printed parts fit a 200 × 200 mm bed.
Start with assembly guide. Read wiring and control plan before selecting electronics. Print-list.csv gives individual STL quantities. hardware-bom.csv is a proposed purchasing/build list, not a record of purchases.
Control: XIAO RP2040 + grblHAL over USB, two PUL/DIR drivers and one pen servo. Open the image-to-G-code tool to prepare a drawing, or read our controller guide and pin map.

The plotter build interface provides printer-fit checks, the plywood DXFs and a matching STL print pack. Python is only needed for editing/regenerating the CAD.
After regenerating the models, maintainers can refresh the catalogue and print pack with python cad/build_download_catalog.py. This uses the saved validation reports and print quantities.
Regenerating the CAD
Install the dependencies in cad/requirements.txt in a Python virtual environment. From this package folder, run python cad/build_cnc_option.py.
The entry point imports the shared geometry module and parameters, exports the shared printable parts, then generates the plywood panels, printed adapters, complete assembly and nine-position motion checks. The shared module's coordinate scaffold is internal; the downloadable construction is the plywood machine.
Using the files
The complete print list identifies each required STL and quantity. Individual STL and STEP parts are placed in print orientation. The assembly STEP and GLB are in assembly coordinates. Hardware envelopes are reference geometry, not printable substitutes.
Use the base DXF and bed DXF to create router toolpaths suited to the actual stock and machine. The geometry uses millimetres; it is not ready-to-run router G-code.
