3. Computer Aided design

THIS WEEK WAS FUN :3 So just something before the work begins i have never done anything engineering like cad or anything in the past so i am super happy how this turned out

Learning

I learned by searching random tutorials when I needed them, for example the mirror or the patterns. Also I attended the lecture so that helped a lot too.

AUTODESK FUSION

From the Autodesk Fusion website - Autodesk Fusion is design, engineering, electronics, and manufacturing software, all-in-one. Connect your entire product development process into one cloud-based software with integrated 3D CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB.

I decided on using fusion because you can get a free student licence and because it is taught is course.

2D Design

INKSCAPE Is the tool that I have decided to go with because it’s free and it is taught in the course.E

From the Inkscape website - Ikscape is a Free and open source vector graphics editor for GNU/Linux, Windows and macOS. It offers a rich set of features and is widely used for both artistic and technical illustrations such as cartoons, clip art, logos, typography, diagramming and flowcharting. It uses vector graphics to allow for sharp printouts and renderings at unlimited resolution and is not bound to a fixed number of pixels like raster graphics. Inkscape uses the standardized SVG file format as its main format, which is supported by many other applications including web browsers.

In Inkscape I designed a monster. Just a vector square Add some shapes. And tadaaaa

Also you can convert images to vectors with. Ajust the cuttoff And ta-da you got yourself a vector image that you can even use for laser cutting.
