About me

I am Mohammadreza Omidali (Omid), and currently am doctoral researcher at the University of Oulu, Finland. I am affiliated with the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE), within the Optoelectronics and Measurement Technology (OPEM) research unit.

My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Radiation Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic.

My research focuses on biomedical engineering with an emphasis on brain-related applications, where I work at the intersection of two distinct physical domains: optics (electromagnetic waves) and ultrasound (mechanical waves). I am particularly interested in any projects such as engineering, biophotonics, and optical technologies. I joined the Fab Academy program to practically strengthen my hands-on skills in digital fabrication, Documentation, time management, and bringing digital world to real world and vice vers. Fab Academy provides a bridge to walk on the gap between research, experimentation, and real-world implementation.

Beyond my academic and research activities, I enjoy reading, continuously learning new skills, and playing football.
