Introduction

Hi!

I'm Shinya Sakakibara (榊原伸也). Call me "BARA".

I live in Nagoya, Japan. Do you know Nagoya City?

I run a small company that does software development in Nagoya.

Also, I'm friend with Yoshi from NagoyaFab, and we are working together to start Fab Lab in Nagoya.

I joined Fab Academy 2026 because I want to learn more about digital fabrication and meet people from all over the world.

I graduated from a musical instrument making school. So I'm good at woodworking!

After school, I met computers and got really interested in programming and network technology.

Work Experience

I worked at several companies, and then I started my own company a few years ago.

Now I make software and help people with technology.

Skills

  • Programming: I can write code in several languages
  • Woodworking: I learned this at school
  • Electronics: I'm still learning!

My Hobbies

I really like making things and fixing things. It's very fun for me!

I also have many interests like sports and food. I always want to try something new and challenge myself.

Why Fab Academy?

Fab Academy is a new learning opportunity for me.

I work as an engineer, but I think I still have much to learn. This is a chance to review my skills again, so I can teach technology to other people better.

Also, I cannot speak English fluently. Through this program, I want to improve my English skill too.

I hope this will be a chance to make my life and someone else's life more rich and happy.
