Project Idea
My project idea is a motion detecting lamp, designed to adapt to the user’s movements while working. I observed that many people, including myself, tend to shift positions frequently while working, which often causes a traditional desk lamp to lose its purpose when the light no longer reaches the workspace. To fix this problem, my solution is to create a lamp with a retractable body that allow it to move and follow the user’s hand or working material (which may need to be identified in a system). Additionally, the lamp will be able to change colors, making it both functional and adaptable to different working environments.

Key Features
Motion Tracking System – The lamp has sensors to detect the movement of either the hand or the work material of the user. The function of this sensor is to enable the lamp to adjust its position automatically while still lighting the work station even when the user has changes position.
Adjustable and Retractable Body – The lamp features a retractable and flexible design that is adjustable to extend or reduce in size depending on the requirements.
Color-Changing Capability – The lamp has the ability to change from one color to another or work in several modes. The cooler colors may be applied in concentration tasks, while the warm colors are ideal for creating an environment for work.
