Fab Academy 2026

February 07, 1998
This is a drawing I created three years ago. To avoid copyright issues, I will generate all images for my website based on this drawing.
ChatGPT prompt: “Generate an AI version of this grandmother who is starting Fab Academy courses, learning computer-aided design, programming, PCB design, and other digital fabrication topics?”

Hello I'm Mariam

I’m a web developer, but I don’t promise to create a super functional website, because that’s not why we are here 😄

Since I still haven’t found a suitable image to place on this page, I once again used the capabilities of ChatGPT. I provided it with a close-up of my face, my clothing style, and an image of Neil Gershenfeld, around whom my entire website is built.

Here are the results. However, it would have been faster if I had just sat on a CNC machine and taken a photo 😄, but I will do that in the future.

ChatGPT prompt: “Generate an image where my face (taken exactly from the reference image where I am wearing red clothes) is realistically placed onto the man in the target image, keeping the same environment and composition from that image, but adjusting the pose so I am sitting differently inside the CNC machine, positioned slightly farther from the camera, preserving my natural facial features without alteration, and applying the clothing style from the third reference image to match my appearance in a more feminine and accurate way.”

My background and interests

I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, specialising in Information Security and Software Engineering.
The COVID-19 pandemic also had a negative impact on me, and during that period, I started working in the field of web development 😄
I have a strong interest and some hands-on experience in Data Science and Game Development. My current interests are closely connected to the FabAcademy curriculum, particularly 3D design, 3D modelling, and electronics.
I am confident that FabAcademy will be a challenging, engaging, and extremely rewarding learning journey for me.

The Game that I designed

Since I already mentioned that I’m also interested in game development, I worked in this field from February to April 2025. Even though it was only three months, it was enough for me to explore, fully fall in love with it, and gain the following skills that I would like to share with you — especially because I decided to implement this exact game idea as part of my final project.

I’ve had an interest for a long time in creating games where the player needs to collect a specific number of items under certain conditions. I had also developed another game based on collecting a certain number of points within a limited time, but unfortunately, I didn’t save it. That’s why I will share this example instead, which I believe is also interesting.

Besides compressing them, I have also sped up these videos so they are not too boring to watch.
