About Me¶

Hi! I'm Dorian Fritze, a Fab Academy 2026 student at the Charlotte Latin School Fab Lab in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I have always loved to create and bake. So after earning my BA in engineering physics along with minors in math and astronomy, I earned my diploma in pastry arts.
I spent a few years making wedding and party cakes, then opened my own chocolate company. Then I switched to the best job ever, being a stay at home mom. I have been promoted over the years, and my current roles include Girl Scout leader, Girl Scout Service Unit team member/ activities organizer, substitute teacher pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, softball coach, archery instructor, party planner and a school volunteer on multiple committees.
My Background¶
I am learning digital fabrication through the Fab Academy program. Before starting Fab Academy, I had experience with crafts and making, including chocolate making, cake decorating, sewing, painting, woodworking, laser cutting, and basic 3D printing.
