About Me¶
I'm a problem solver and a planner. I enjoy seeing how things work and making things that solve problems. I love work that gets me in the "Flow" zone. For me work, is as much about the who as the what. Working with supportive people and learning new things is my happy place.
My History¶
I studied at the University of Southern California for my first 1.5 yrs of undergrad and then finished at the University of Washington with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. After that, I worked at The Boeing Company, Defense and Space Group before heading back to graduate school at Northwestern University where I completed the MMM program, a masters in engineering paired with a masters in Business Administration.
After grad school, I headed back to california where I worked in operations strategy management consulting before going into teaching in California. My teaching credential is from UC Davis in Mathmatics, grades 7 -12.
Later, I returned to school to take the Certified Financial Planning courses to help our family plan for eventual transitions in the business that my father built. After my father was diagnosed with Alzheimers, I took over the business and have been working in commercial real estate and investment management since then. I also help my husband in our family business at http://www.g-senergy.com with special projects including accounting, IT, business development, and HR support.
Other Passions¶
For the last 7 years, I have been participating in First Robotics and mentoring First Tech Challenge Robotics team 17346. I love my Tacos. This year they built thier most advanced robot yet. I am so proud of them and thier hard work and learning.
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest; hiking, camping and family time are tops on my list.
