About me¶

Welcome, I’m Freya. I am a product designer by education. In industry I have focused on design for manufacture, CAD & model making. Vocationally I enjoy making pottery, exploring traditional methods & how ceramics can intersect with digital fabrication through e.g. 3d printing slip moulds
My background¶
My home is the small country-side town of Silverstone, Towcester, located at the centre of the English midlands. This peaceful town descends into chaos once a year when it becomes host to the British Grand Prix. I spent 4 years at Nottingham Trent University studying for a BSc in Product Design. Here I was able to develop in hard skills like CAD whilst exploring ideas, big or small, across the full spectrum of the design process.
Previous Projects¶
By utilise core skills gained in uni I have been able to transition seamlessly between sectors, (manufacturing, aerospace, architectural engineering & bespoke joinery). This has left me confident in applying design processes into new environments, software’s & industries. Crucially I have used these opportunity’s to identify & close gaps in my knowledge base, whilst adapting my skills to new parameters.
