CORA Final Project Masterpiece
What will it do?
It works as a responsive light that visualises the heartbeart of the user by physical connection
Who's done what beforehand?
- noepixel ring is pre-made
- some 3D models (e.g. real heart)
- explored other PCBs lying around in the FabLab
- drew inspiration from Can't Help Myself - an installation that makes you feel emotional about a machine
What sources will you use?
- 3D modelling - rhino, blender, Blender kit (real heart model), grabCAD (component models)

- 3D Printing - Bamboolab X1 Carbon
- laser cutting - Rayjet 500
- electronics design - Kicad, Flab component library

What will you design?
I will design:
- the acrylic enclosure for the device
- PCB layouts
- the main board
- small heart connector boards
- the mould for the 3D silicone heart model
What materials and components will be used?
- 4mm acrylic A5 sheets
- screws and nuts - 1M, 2M, 3M
- resistors - 1K, 10K, 220 Ohms
- capacitors - 0.1uf, 10uf
- wire cables
- copper tape
- Translucent Silicone: Molding Silicone, 15 Amp, 1.25 kg, Liquid, Self-Venting, Food Safe, Easy Mold Release, Low Viscosity

What parts and systems will be made?
- Heart Enclosure - an acryclic box housing the circuit boards and silicone heart. The shell of the product
- User Display - an OLED display connecting to the ESP32 for real time outputs
- Pulse Sensor - finger pad to read user pulse and light the heart at the same BPM
- Silicon Heart - a realistic translucent silicone moulded heart with a backing light for visual display of heart rate
