18. Invention, Intellectual Property and Income¶
Dimension Plan¶
To ensure that my Mahabharata war-themed board game reaches and inspires a wide audience, I plan to document and share it across multiple platforms and formats:
- Fab Academy Documentation
The complete development journey—design files, code, electronics integration, gameplay mechanics, and testing results—will be documented on my Fab Academy site. It will include step-by-step guides and lessons learned.
- Final Video & Slide Presentation
A short demo video (1–2 minutes) will showcase the gameplay, player interactions using RFID cards, LED score indicators, and the overall setup. Alongside this, a presentation slide deck will explain the project’s concept, process, and outcomes.
- Open Source Repository
All design files (CAD, schematics), source code (RFID, LED control, audio), and instructions will be made available on GitHub, so others can replicate or remix the game for educational or cultural use.
- Social Media and Community Sharing
Highlights of the project—such as the working spinner mechanism, sound effects from Astra cards, and multi-level board gameplay—will be shared as reels or posts on platforms like Instagram and YouTube to generate interest.
- Educational Outreach
Collaborate with schools, colleges, and universities to introduce the project
Future Possibilities¶
- Educational Outreach
The game can be packaged for schools with printed boards, RFID cards, and easy-to-assemble electronics—ideal for teaching Indian mythology.
Feature | Description |
---|---|
Copper-Trace Game Board | Board made using copper traces on a PCB or with vinyl-cut copper tape on acrylic. When a player places a pawn, it completes a circuit triggering actions like LEDs or sound effects. |
Capacitive Touch Sections | Each board section can uses capacitive touch (via copper pads or conductive paint). Touching a section or placing a pawn triggers sound, lights, or score updates without any physical buttons. |
Modular PCB Tiles | The board can be divided into modular PCB tiles (hexagons or rings) that can be rearranged. Each tile has electronics like LEDs or sensors for flexible and interactive setups. |
Draft: Slide and video¶
I have uploded a draft slide and video on the Fab Acdemy 2025 - Final Project page.
