Rotation mechanism

Separate from the internal housing, as mechanism to allow the main case to rotate is needed. Wanting smooth motion from ball bearings, I included a 3” lazy susan bearing mechanism.

These are available via Amazon or major craft project retailers. I was able to get one off a lazy susan bought at a resale charity shop.

While this can provide nice bearings, I needed a way to mount this, as well as rest on the ground. For this, I designed mounts in Fusion. There are two pieces for this. The upper portion attaches to the the bearing mechanism and the main case. It has mounting screws which align with the stepper motor. The lower portion mounts to the other side of the bearing mechanism, and also has a place for the stepper motor pin. There is a place for a bolt to hold the stepper motor tightly
