Program and workflow idea
Here is some ideas for programs to try. We recommend you'd rather try more programs and make a simple model then trying long complex tutorials. Once you have tried that pick the program you found best to work with and make a mockup of your final project concept. On our website you will find a list of programs we work with in the lab.
CAD exersize
Here your will find some ideas for simple parts to model best done in CAD but you can try doing them in mesh programs as well keep in mind that the dimensions tend to be a bit more challenging in mesh programs like Blender.

Blender
For something to try in blender doing a low poly tutorial is a good option to start with. Here are two playlists to look at first a simple interface tutorials you can go trought the first 3 videos on the playlist that should be enough to get you going on the low poly tutorials.

We use Inkscape alot in the lab the best tutorials on Youtube are by Nick Saporito He has a good colections of playlist to get you going from beginer to advanced level.
