Week 2

Credits to ChatGPT for generating the definitions. I have used the prompt Generate the defination of *your word* to generate all the definations. To generate some explantions for the softwares, I have used the prompt Can you explain further on *the name of your software*.

Vocabulary

Rastor image: A raster image is made up of a grid of pixels, where each pixel has a specific color and position.

Vector image: A vector image is made up of mathematical equations that define shapes, lines, and colors.

Supply-side time management: Supply-side time management is the practice of increasing productivity by improving efficiency, tools, and processes instead of just managing schedules or working longer hours.

Generative AI: Generative AI refers to a type of artificial intelligence that can create new content, such as text, images, music, or even code, based on patterns it has learned from existing data. It uses models like deep learning and neural networks to generate human-like outputs. Examples include ChatGPT for text generation, DALLĀ·E for image creation, and MusicLM for music composition.

Software

GIMP

GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a free and open-source image editing software used for tasks like photo retouching, image composition, and graphic design. I have attached its important links below:

Inkscape

Inkscape is a free and open-source vector graphics editor used for creating and editing scalable vector graphics (SVG). It is similar to Adobe Illustrator and is used for designing logos, illustrations, diagrams, and other vector-based artwork. Since it works with vectors, images created in Inkscape can be scaled without losing quality. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. I have attached its important links below:

Blender

Blender is a free and open-source 3D creation software used for modeling, sculpting, animation, rendering, VFX, and game development. It supports features like geometry nodes, shader nodes, physics simulations, and compositing.

Here is a tutorial on how to download blender:

  1. Visit this website. Press on a button which looks like the image below to start downloading:

  1. After it has downloaded, you will have to set it up. Press ‘Next’.

  1. Continue pressing ‘Next’.

  1. Press ‘Install”.

Congrats! You have successfully downloaded Blender!!

Fusion360

Fusion 360 is a 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software developed by Autodesk. It integrates various aspects of product development, such as design, engineering, simulation, and manufacturing, into one platform. I have attached its important links below:
