About me

My name is Amalia Bordoloi, and I am a sophomore at Charlotte Latin School. This is my Fab Academy website!

My background

I was born in New York City and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina when I was five. I have loved computer programming since I competed and won first place in the Science Olympiad computer programming event in fourth grade with my mother as the coach. When he discovered my interest in coding, my grandfather in India obtained a certification in Python from Harvard and offered to teach me remotely. Although my family was the original inspiration for my love of computer science, I have continued to learn more on my own and in school and grow my programming skills in various computing languages over the past six years, including Python and C++. I have also taken engineering classes at school since seventh grade, and I am currently taking AP Computer Science Principles. Last year, I competed in ecybermission, and my team won second place in the state.
