About me

Hello, kuzuzangpo and Good morning to you all!!

I am Roshan Rai participating in FabAcademy 2025 from bhutan, with the beginning of new year, everyone hopes for something new thing and some new ideas to work with, same as that I too hoped to join Fab academy this year in the hope to get myself fully indulge and learn something new and unusual thing which I presume to be very beneficial for me as I proceed further in my life. As everyone knows that currently the world is fully controlled by electronics devices and gadgets, I felt that we should be ready enough to experience the changes in the digital world.

I was born and raised in southern part of Bhutan. From a very young age itself I learned to do all the household chores like cooking, washing dishes, laundry and all, which I consider myself to be lucky enough to learn those basic etiquettes of life because those skills and knowledges gained in past remains for the rest of the life. Since I am from mechanical background I am not that much comfortable and sounded in electronics and also at the same time bit nervous regarding my performances when coming to deal with electronics components so, inorder to get equipped with all those components and to work confidently and to explore more I decided why not I also take part in this global event and grab maximum out of it.

I started my primary classes in one of the remote schools located at Punakha which is around one hour by walk, after that I continued my middle secondary education in Khuruthang middle secondary school and finally I completed my higher secondary education from Gelephu higher secondary school. Currently I am working in Super Fab Lab which is located at Babesa, Thimphu which is approximately twenty minutes drive from the capital city.

Previous Experience

Before joining Super Fablab I worked in one of the cement manufacturing plant in the country which is located in south eastern part of Bhutan. During my stay out there I was fortunate enough to learn and gain many skills on operation and maintenance of different machines and equipments. In addition to that I too was engaged in trouble shooting the problems related to different machines and equipments which played vital role in production of cement. That was my part of journey with full of loads and exicements but after joining Fab lab I was even more excited and curious after seeing all those cnc machines, 3d printing and all other machines which are available in the lab.

My Amusement

To keep myself engaged and to enjoy every aspect of life, I love to be with friends and share thoughts and crack jokes with them. Not only that when ever I am alone at house, I love to sing a song in top of my voice and at the same time enjoy playing online games too with friends. Sometimes I too enjoy driving and visiting different places with friends.
