17. Applications and implications, Project Development.¶
Assignment for the week¶
This week, i will be explaining to integrate my final project masterpiece that covers the range of questions below.
WHAT WILL IT DO?
The ‘CHIRP and CLEAN device’ will make the user aware that he/she has to clean his hands after using the toilet.
The chirp audio will be played when the motion sensor at CHIRP device detects user entering the toilet at range of 800mm.The audio continues till the user finishes his work in the toilet and when he exits, a message will be sent to the other ESP32C3 board of CLEAN device via the ESP NOW protocol that he has now leaved the area and get ready to clean.The CLEAN device will play audio after receiving exit message and plays reminding audio for the user to wash hands.The device plays reminding audios and making the user to dispense soap and clean hands before leaving.The acknowledge audio will be played finally when the user use the CLEAN device to dispense saop and wash hands.
Thus, this small simple device will make the users develop habbits for hygienic to various locations.
WHO HAS DONE WHAT BEFOREHAND?
There are commercial products in the market that are fully automatic soap dispensers, but i have not seen like mine integrated with wireless communication like ESP NOW protocol.

Almost all the materails and components of my final project were available in stock at mu NODE JNWSFL, Thimphu Bhutan.They are purchasing from AMAZON, some from JAPAN.

Total = $64.02
So the total amount cost for my final project was approximately $64 which is equal to Ngultrum(Bhutanese) 5495/- only.
WHAT PARTS AND SYSTEMS WILL BE MADE?

For Bird box(Which i kept as CHIRP), i will be fabricating the casings using the 3mm acrylic sheet and laser cutting.I will be making MCU-1 case using the PRUSA MK3S printer.

For Soap dispenser container(Which i named as CLEAN device), i will be fabricating the soap container and its MCU case by 3D printing.

I will be making two PCB using the SRM-2O milling machine.
WHAT PROCESSES WILL BE USED?
Additive manufacturing: Fabricating Casings for both PCB, soap container with a nozzle.
Subtractive Manufacturing: making casings for CHIRP device by laser cutting and also vinyl cutting to add titles.
WHAT QUESTIONS NEED TO BE ANSWERED?
- How can it benefit the people?
- How to replace the soap solution?
- who are the targeted people?
- How to make the project user friendly.
HOW WILL IT BE AVALUATED?
The user can feel the chirp sound as he/she enters the toilet.He can then be directed to the soap dispenser where he/she is supposed to use it and to stay hygienic.The strict follow of this will make the people in community to maintain hygiene promote health environment.
