18.1 Dissemination plan for final project
I hope that more and more people explore with the possibilities of Solar Cooking. Harnessing our most reliable and important resource with low cost, low-tech technology would provide clean cooking for a large part of the world. In this spirit anyone can replicate this without referencing my work, although they should reference the resources that I have used.
18.2 Future possibilities
Should the CPC manage to induce surface temperatures exceeding 120-180°C, I’ll look to change the material to ALU PET and look at using an inflatable membrane. Finishing ALU PET can lead to a better reflective surface than the BoPET in the current design.
Should the CPC lead to temperatures exceeding 150°C I will look at more robust materials for making the CPC and consider automatic safety systems. Kirigami and traditional metal fabrication for double curved surfaces.
In any case, a more appropriate method for manufacturing a parabola to better respect the laws of non-imaging optics is preferable.
