I currently have the following (Fab) equipment

• ultimaker 2+ 3D printer (wich case/enclosure)
• genmitsu L8 40 W solid state laser cutter
• genmitsu pro20 cnc
• silhoutette curio foilcutter
• mayku formbox vacuum former
• electronics workbench, reflow oven (converted toaster oven, works like a charm)
• drill press, bandsaw, band sander, etc

Of which the Gentmitsu machines need to be set-up (hidden agenda)

which plastics (not) to cut? I’ll make a summary of the follwing site here.

Transparant acrylic is a no-go for this solid-state laser. The light passes right through, so you’ll only see burning artefacts from the material below.

Home lab history

In the lab at home (nice space, mythbuster approved, see picture from last inspection round) I work on engineering assignments for art & theatre. During Covid19 I also used the space to continue some research work, for example by building a 4-wheel drive sewer pipe inspection robot.
