18. Project development

This week I worked on defining my final project idea and started to getting used to the documentation process.

Assignment Checklist.

task 4 what questions need to be resolved? DONE
task 5 what will happen when? DONE
task 6 what have you learned? DONE

what tasks have been completed?

I have completed, these activities: - 3d printing for electronic box, battery box, solar panel holder.
- CNC for pcb. - CNC for structural base.

what tasks remain?

I have had pending activities: - Vinil for brand project. - Mount irrigation device.

what has worked? what hasn’t?

The following worked: - I2C Communication with LCD, Joystick, RTC Module. - Power supply Battery to control system. - Solar panel charging system. The following does not work: - Irrigation system (valves).

what questions need to be resolved?

  1. The material worries me if it will resist in real conditions (in farms).
  2. Whether the water pressure will be sufficient for the correct operation of the automatic irrigation system.

what will happen when?

When we manage to install the irrigation system (solenoid valve) we will be able to observe and validate our hypothesis: - Water pressure is correct to ensure constant irrigation. - The precision of the times in the control system. - If the system can work 24/7. - If the system supports environmental conditions such as permanent solar radiation, rain, wind, etc.

what have you learned?

My learning are: 1. Analyse materials and choose according to the condition that the project will face. 2. Communicate devices I2C. 3. Modular project for easly mounting.
