Laser Cutting isn’t exactly new to me. I wouldn’t have had my master degree if it weren’t for the laser cutting machine. However, just merely using when compared to setting up and understanding the machine are different. I can use the laser cut…understanding kerf, adjusting toolhead are completely new concepts for me which makes me understand the laser cut more.

Back then I mostly print acrylics, so a little speck of laser seemed harmless..... but it doesn’t work the same in the context of cardboard - and I learned that the hard way as a quarter of our cardboard caught on fire.... this makes me realise why laser characterization on materials are so so important.
