About me

Hello! My name is Maria del rosario Juarez Garcia, I am currently studying marketing and working in Fab Lab located in the Valle del Paraiso in the city of Puebla. I am teacher by vocación and i like to participate in social projects.

I am a persevering person, and I believe that most things can be achieved with effort. I believe that we can all help each other and form a better and equal world. Despite being an introverted person, I consider myself someone who is happy and with whom you could have a good chat.

What I like to do is spend time with my family, talk and laugh together, my biggest dream is not to be famous and successful, I only dream of a house and a huge patio.

My favorite phrase is “Teaching helps you learn”

Previous work

I have worked as elementary school teacher and I have my own business making paper goods and decorations for all types of events.​

Project A

Within the creative space where i collaborate, people from the comunity are taugh to use digital manufacturing tools mainly to young mothers.

I like to learn new things, that is why entering the fab lab in which I currently collaborate is an achievement for me since I did not know the programs, uses and methods with which they work, everything has been new for me, but little by little little and I have been learning how to handle everything.

I entered the Fab academy on the recommendation of a friend and colleague, and after doing a little research I found everything that is done, I know that it is a great challenge for me, but I also know that with perseverance and the help of my instructors I will be able to achieve the goal of graduating.

Fab Academy Student Agreement

The Fab Academy is responsible for:

  • Teaching principles and practices of digital fabrication
  • Arranging lectures, recitations, meetings, and events for the class
  • Evaluating and providing feedback on student work
  • Offering clear standards for completing assignments
  • Certifying and archiving student progress
  • Supervising class preparation
  • Reviewing prospective students, instructors, and labs
  • Providing central staff and infrastructure for students, instructors, and labs
  • Fund-raising for costs not covered by student tuition
  • Publicizing the program
  • Promoting a respectful environment free of harassment and discrimination
  • Encourage a diverse, accessible, and equitable community

Iam a Fab Academy student, responsible for:

  • Attending class lectures and participating in reviews
  • Developing and documenting projects assigned to introduce and demonstrate skills the Fab Academy to share my work (with attribution) in the class for purposes compatible with its mission
  • Honestly reporting on my work, and appropriately attributing the work of others (both human and machine)
  • Working safely
  • Leaving workspaces in the same (or better) condition than I found them
  • Participating in the upkeep of my lab
  • Ensuring that my tuition for local and central class costs is covered
  • Following locally applicable health and safety guidance
