About Fab Lab León

Fab Lab León is a community-based digital fabrication laboratory located in the city of León, Spain. The lab offers access to a variety of tools and equipment, including 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines, as well as a range of workshops and educational programs. Its mission is to provide individuals with the skills and resources they need to turn their ideas into reality, whether it be for personal projects, entrepreneurial ventures, or social innovation initiatives. Fab Lab León is part of the global Fab Lab network, which aims to democratize access to technology and promote innovation through community-based learning and collaboration.

The Shemakes program is a free initiative that aims to promote technology and digital skills among women and girls. The program offers workshops and training sessions on topics such as 3D printing, robotics, and coding, as well as mentorship and networking opportunities. The goal of Shemakes is to empower women and girls to pursue careers in technology and to close the gender gap in the tech industry.

The Poderosas program is another free initiative at Fab Lab León that aims to empower young girls and women by providing them with the skills and resources they need to start their own businesses or pursue entrepreneurial ventures. The program offers workshops on topics such as design thinking, business planning, and financial management, as well as mentorship and networking opportunities. The goal of Poderosas is to create a community of female entrepreneurs who can support and inspire one another.

Both the Shemakes and Poderosas programs are part of Fab Lab León's broader mission to democratize access to technology and promote innovation through community-based learning and collaboration.
