Individual Assignment:¶
-
Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project.
-
Prepare drafts of your summary slide (presentation.png, 1920x1080) and video clip (presentation.mp4, 1080p HTML5, < ~minute, < ~10 MB) and put them in your root directory
-
Outline future possibilities and describe how you would make them probabilities.
The slide and video has put to my root directory.
It was actually a good practice to make sure I new how to upload beforehand.
To upload these I went through my fabacademy repository > docs and upload there.
What tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?
- So far I may say my project is complete.
Regarding what’s working and what’s not?
- Everything is working perfectly. Initially I had a problem with my I2C communication but now it is fixed and working perfecly.
The plan for dissemination of my final project:¶
My final project (Solar water sprayer):¶
-
To disseminate and promote my final project, I will use instagram, and facebook.
-
Since I do outreach programs where I interact with farmers I will carry it with me as part of advertisement.
-
I will engage with Oganisations that promote farming and also helps farmers in different aspects including mordenising farming methods.
-
I will conduct sensitization programs direct to the targeted groups.
Future plans:¶
I hope my project will be very successful in the future taking into consideration that here in Africa, about 85% of the population are small-holder farmers. Since every farmer will think of irrigating his or her crops as well as spraying pesticides to protect crops, this project will fulfil their dreams.
Some things that I will explore in the future include:
-
The use of flexible solar panel.
-
Increase pump size.
-
Change the sensor.
-
I think of using a capacitive soil moisture in the future to avoid issues of corrosion.
-
Use wifi as means of communication between input and output instead of the I2C that I have used now.
-
Conduct research on its practical performance and make appropriate adjustments where necessary.
License:¶
A fter researching for the different types of licenses, I opted for the creative commons licence to be for my project. This is a license that offers anyone and any organisation in the world a free and simple standardized way, to grant copyright permissions for creative and scholarly works, to ensure proper attribution and to allow others to copy, and distribute those works.
To be more precise I will use the CC BY Version, the conditions of which are as follows:
CC BY: This license allows users to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use.
CC BY includes the following elements: BY – Credit must be given to the creator.
