Meet our Fabacademy 2024 students

Elen Grigoryan

Elen Grigoryan

Elen is an industrial designer from Yerevan, Armenia, specializing in environmental design. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in industrial design, she is now pursuing a master’s degree while actively participating in Fablab. Her journey began with a focus on drawing, leading her to enroll in the Kojoyan Center of Arts before diving into industrial design at the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia. Elen’s passion for design extends beyond academia, as evidenced by her freelance projects in graphic design. Notable among her works is the “Co-tosynthesis” eco costume, created for a conceptual design class. This project highlights the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature, advocating for coexistence through the integration of stabilized plants into the costume design. Elen’s dedication to sustainability and her creative approach to design make her a promising talent in the field.

Shushanik Abovyan

Shushanik Abovyan

Shushan is a dedicated participant in the FabLab Academy course, eager to expand her knowledge and apply it to her work. She looks forward to leveraging her newfound skills to enhance productivity in her professional endeavors and is committed to sharing her expertise with the Armath community. Born in the charming city of Vanadzor, Shushan has a deep appreciation for her hometown’s tranquil surroundings, nestled amidst mountains and forests. As a coach at Armath engineering laboratories for the past five years, Shushan has played a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of over 100 students annually. Her areas of expertise include game programming, programming fundamentals, robotics, and 3D modeling, and she employs interactive teaching methods to foster student engagement and practical application of knowledge. Shushan’s passion for education and her dedication to empowering her students make her an invaluable asset to the Armath community.

Maria Hovhannisyan

Maria Hovhannisyan

Maria is a versatile designer based in Armenia, specializing in industrial and graphic design. With her recent graduation from the National University of Architecture and Construction, Maria is now channeling her passion for design into the Fab Academy in Dilijan, where she aims to elevate her skills to new heights. Drawing from her experience in solar engineering and graphic design, Maria seamlessly integrates technical precision with creative flair in her work. From designing sustainable energy solutions to crafting compelling brand identities, Maria’s portfolio showcases her commitment to pushing the boundaries of design and making a lasting impact in her field.

Areg Khalatyan

Areg Khalatyan

Meet Areg Khalatyan, an accomplished artist and industrial designer based in Yerevan, Armenia. With a background in both art and industrial design, Areg brings a unique perspective to his work. He has also made significant contributions to the film industry as a set designer and decorator, adding depth and creativity to various productions. Born and raised in Yerevan, Areg’s journey into the world of art began at a young age, sparking a lifelong passion for creativity. His education at the National University Architecture and Construction of Armenia further honed his skills, solidifying his position as a talented artist and designer.

Ashot Margaryan

Ashot Margaryan

Ashot Margaryan, the executive director of a metal casting and machining factory in Yerevan, Armenia, holds a degree in Mining and Metallurgy from Yerevan State National Polytechnical University. Despite facing challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ashot embarked on his Fab Academy journey in 2020, presenting a successful final project. However, due to restrictions and limited lab access, he was unable to complete the global evaluation. Nonetheless, Ashot is eager to resume his Fab Academy journey, reconnect with the community, and continue his pursuit of knowledge and collaboration.
