About me

My name is Landon Broadwell. I attended Charlotte Latin School from Kindergarten to 10th grade, and I currently attend the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics at the Morganton Campus. In 10th grade, I completed this course. It was undoubtedly the most formative extracurricular experience I have ever had, and my time in the course was filled with innovation, community, passion, and unparalled learning. I am eternally grateful to have had the chance to take part in this program.

Now, at NCSSM, I hope to pursue a career in electrical engineering. Whether it be through hands-on efforts, collaborative research environments, or uncoventional yet satisfying paths to follow, I have profoundly grown as a student, scholar, and engineer during my time at NCSSM.

I love engineering, and I have since I got my first chances to work in Latin’s FabLab. Fab Academy honed that interest into electrical engineering, and NCSSM has carried it further through their rigorous yet immensely thorough academic and extracurricular opportunities.

Furthermore, my academic interests have expanded into Physics as well, for I have had the chance to engage in NCSSM’s Research in Physics program, through which I have explored and experimented with wireless power transfer under superconductive conditions. This secondary interest has engendered a broader interest in learning, and in college, I want to continue growing my knowledge base into each and every academic field that intrigues me while learning from my community as I have learned from them in the past.

I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts, and I strive to one day return there for college and future career pursuits. For any additional information on my documentation, or questions you might have for me, please contact me through the following:
