About me

Hi , my name is Jiawei Liang, I’m a graphic designer who loves to draw and craft. I working at a hardware company and now I’m join to Fab Academy to grow my skills. I’m excited to mesh traditional design with tech to see what cool things I can create. Looking forward to sharing knowledge and sparking new ideas with you all!

My background

I come from Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. Since childhood, I have really enjoyed drawing and crafting, which led me to pursue a major in visual communication design in university. After graduating, I worked for a while at a magazine, mainly focusing on layout design. Subsequently, I joined a technology company, where I have been working for over 10 years. I have a strong interest in the intersection of design and technology. However, since most of my previous work has been design-oriented, my technical skills are somewhat lacking. Through the FabAcademy program, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of technology-related knowledge and learn to express technology in the language of art.

Previous work

As a visual designer, I engage in brand and visual design tasks, such as maintaining and enhancing our corporate visual identity (VI), creating visuals for company events, website design, and packaging design. Outside of work, I enjoy drawing illustrations and making handicrafts.

Project A

AI Girl Door Light Box

Introduction:

We know most of the door welcome display boards are static displays. Since the Vision AI module can be used to realize human recognition, I thought of making a door welcome light box with light interaction, hoping to increase a little more fun while people wait for the door to enter.
