Tracking my project progress:

what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?

  • I am done testing individual functionalities for the project and intergration of RFID as INPUT and Solenoid as OUTPUT.

  • I still need to make my final board and intergrate MP3 player and Neo Pixles

  • As for the design, everthing is ready but still need to decide on the color of my casing.

what’s working? what’s not?

  • RFID and solenoid is working and it pops braille pattern.

  • Casing looks perfect, but might have to make few design changes. I am having a difficult time intergrating DF mini player to play sound. Also I need to intergrate buck convertor and 12-5 volts regulator is over heating.

what questions need to be resolved?

  • What color to choose for my casing. Is the braille cell poping to the height requires. How to give power supply from battery for future?

  • Script for my video and I want to test my project with someone visually impared.

what will happen when?

25th May: Design my board with buck convertor

26th- 28th May: Testing of my board and also prallelly design my final print

29th May-30th May: Final assembly and Testing

31st May: Decide of Script

1st June: Decide on the script and shoot video

2nd -3rd June : Make video and Slide

4th June: Finish Documentation. Upload slide and presentation.

5th June: Presentation day.

what have you learned?

  • Most importantly, the time management when in the final week to the presentation.

  • What worked for others won’t work for you.

  • When there are three different power supply requirements bevery careful not to supply higher voltage lower voltage equipment.
