develop a plan for dissemination of your final project | Refer to below "6" |
prepare drafts of your summary slide (presentation.png, 1920x1080) and video clip (presentation.mp4, 1080p HTML5, < ~minute, < ~10 MB) and put them in your root directory | I prepared my summary slide and video, and put them in my site below and final project page. |
2. Slide
I used Illustrator to create the slide, as in Week 02. Some process photos were used to finalize the slides.

4. Invention
Run Time Checker is the name of my project. The device has a function to read a member's card and turn on/off the machine based on the Mifare card’s data, and It can record the operation time. Since 2019, I has being as a member, and volunteer assistant in Fab Lab West-harima. And the device is made to solve the problem in Fab Lab West-harima that Machine operation training records and hours of use were not kept track of.
In the electronics part, thanks to the Fab Academy opportunity, I can manufacture, test and use them myself.
I also create elements to the model, using 3D printing and laser cutting, designed and manufactured by me. In this case, these objects are exclusive and their sale or distribution would only be done by me.
5. License
In my case, I decided to grant the following license "CC BY-NC-SA" for my project for all copyrighted works.
This license allows re-users to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator. If people remix, adapt, or build upon the material, you must license the modified material under identical terms.

6. Develop a plan for dissemination of your final project
l don’t consider to generate revenue as a business. My project was created with the goal of solving a problem for FabLab west-harima. I think that there are many labs with similar problems and I shared my idea with the world in this my website. I would like to disseminate the product “run time checker" by exhibiting at the Maker Faire. I would be happy to see labs around the world create their own versions of this project someday.
7. My thought
- This week seems easy, but it is not, too. The final project, which took about half a year to complete, needs to be put together into a movie, and in order to keep the size down to 10MB, it is necessary to use ffmpeg and other creative ways to reduce the size of the movie.
- Fab Academy is for 6 months, but in my case I studied for a year, including pre-study of Spartan training that I wrote on my website. I was quite exhausting. But I am happy that , I could made the final project.
