About Me

Hi!
I'm Claire Chaikin-Bryan from Australia. I am currently the Fab Lab Lead at Lake Macquarie City Council where I run the Lake Mac Libraries Fab Lab.

Background

I am a qualified Town Planner and Civil and Environmental Engineer with a background in smart cities, construction planning and project controls, visual arts, graphics design, digital engineering and computer programming.

In 2022 I set up and established the Lake Mac Libraries Fab Lab in Swansea, Lake Macquaire, New South Wales, Australia.

Why I am doing Fab Academy

I would like to be able to run Fab Academy out of my Fab Lab. Currently there are no Fab Labs running Fab Academy in Australia or New Zealand, so I hope to change this and encourage others.
